A fast-growing Cleantech company currently working to establish 1 million electricity connections in off-grid communities by the year 2030 is seeking to have a resourceful and passionate individual join our team. As part of the strategies to achieving this goal, we are scaling up our SHS operations to deliver 40,000 units over the next 18 months. There is a HUGE task ahead of us and we are seeking an innovative, proactive, sales expert with experience in the massive roll-out of Solar Home Systems to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the Profit & Loss of the portfolio of SHS products working across departments to ensure that sales targets are delivered.
- Coach and develop a high performing and motivated sales force in our regions of operation.
- Ensure that Account Managers and Sales Agents have a thorough knowledge of the product offerings and value proposition.
- Responsible for achieving sales targets for our Solar Home Systems product range.
- Closely monitor the performance and integrity of all personnel in the region
- Identify market opportunities and devise action plans.
- Share experiences, insights and successes with other senior management.
- Assist in the coordination and implementation of marketing strategies, and delegate tasks to achieve strategic goals.
- Develop activation and promotional sales materials.
- Implementation of sales and marketing strategies to achieve sales targets.
- Work closely with HR in the recruiting and training of Account Managers and Sales Agents.
- Develop and ongoing review of business process and coordinate with HR to deliver training on CRM tools and business process to our Sales Agents and Account Managers.
- Provision of KPI reports to Management based on agreed time intervals.
Education/Experience:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Environmental, or Technical degree.
- Membership of Sales and Marketing professional bodies.
- 5+ years of experience in the sales of Solar Home Systems or in an FMCG environment.
